Do you wish to get better at what you do? If your answer to these questions is YES!! the this article is for you. The Diploma Nurse who wants to upgrade to a degree level. University of Ghana is one of the most prestigious school when it comes to education in the Health sciences. Hence this is for those who are open to attend the University of Ghana.
Requirements
Those with diplomas would be admitted to level 200 or 300 based on their Final Grade Point Average (FGPA). FGPA of 3.25 or better is desired.
- A diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution. (Prospective applicants are to note that Health Assistant Clinical or Nurse Assistant Clinical Certificates are NOT acceptable).
- The Academic transcript has to be signed by the Head of the Institution before upload.
- The Final copy of the original Professional Nursing Certificate is to be uploaded. (Provisional Certificates are not acceptable).
- Applicants are expected to choose a specialty option based on their qualification obtained in the Diploma training.
Specialty Options
University of Ghana offers four different specialties or modules of the nursing profession and each applicant is required to choose only ONE of the four. The specialties are as follows:
- General Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Paediatric Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
The selection should be done based on the qualification obtained from the Diploma. So for instance, an Applicant with Diploma in Registered General Nursing is REQUIRED to select Bachelor of Science in Registered General Nursing option only.
